TWSR has suffered a small(ok, rather large) catastrophe since my last update. Most of my work on it was stored on my external HDD,
which has suffered a small fall(the joys of little brothers), and subsequently died. This was about a month ago, and as i don't
have the rather large amount of cash needed to pay for recovery(hardware failure. Very expensive), i have not been able to get
anything off the disk.
Fortunately, i have since found a old version of some of the work on another HDD, which includes all
of the ships posted here, but not the ship i was working on at the time. As that ship was a rather large and detailed carrier,
i have lost about half of my work on the project. Fun Fun .
Due to this, TWSR, well, at least my side of it, is currently on hold while i work on other projects
(which will appear on the main resisty site if i ever finish them), and decide what to do next with it.

Over the last month i have been struggling for ideas for ships, so i decided to take a stab at a fully animatable model of the earth.
As it is for TWSR, i went more for a stylised look(basically what i thought looked good at the time) for the atmosphere,
space "sunsets", and such.
In its current form, it is better than i expected, but a lot will have to be done before i actually start rendering the final film.
Anyway, i have rendered out a few views, complete with some missile corvetes(with a new color scheme. Not sure if i like it.
Hard to tell in these kind of shots what it will look like in the film). The first render has quite a bit of motion blur, to test it out.
The other ones have the corvettes in orbit, in line formation, a corvette wall(if you have ever played homeworld, you will know how useful those are),
and finally a Mighty Corvette Cube :).
So, have a look at the renders in the gallery, and tell me what you think in the forum.

Its been a while since i updated, but i do have an excuse :). For the last 4 weeks i have been on holiday,
at home with only my laptop, not my desktop. As such, i was not able to do any blendering.
However, now i am back at uni for second simester, and i have finished the ship i started before the holidays.
It is a second corvette class ship, with small missiles(front) for taking out corvette and fighter class ships,
as well as a couple of fixed rail guns for extra firepower if needed.
It also has two torpedos(top), for taking out capital ships.
As usual, it is in the gallery, and it has a forum thread
here.
This time i have also done a quick animation test, mainly to show what the moving parts do.
You can find a link to that in the gallery(just a avi file at the mo sorry. Its 2.8MB, so
untill i get around to compressing it further, its probablly adsl only).
Some c&c would be great ppl. Just sign up to the forum, and say something :).
The whole point of this project is as a learning curve for me,
and if no one says anything i can't learn much!

We have a real update, YAY.
I have finished the concept mesh for a second ship. This time it is a corvette class ship
(larger and shower than a fighter, but still quite small). This one has two large rail gun(same guns used in the fighter)
turrets, and is designed for taking out fighter squads.
Check it out in the gallery, and in its forum thread
here.

Well, this would be the first update. Ok, so its not really an update, as for it to be an update,
there would have had to be previous content here.
So, what can i say that isn't already somewhere else....
Well, not much, so i will shut up, and finish this useless update. :)
